The NYCO Youth Concerto Competition is an annual event held by the North York Concert Orchestra to support the development of young artists and to showcase budding talent by providing performance opportunities with the Orchestra.
Applications close at 11:59pm on May 15, 2024. The results will be announced on May 19, 2024. The winners of the competition will have the opportunity to perform a movement of a concerto with the Orchestra on Sunday October 6, 2024 and will each receive a cash prize of $500.
Contestants must have been born on or after July 1, 2001. There are no residency or citizenship restrictions. All orchestral instruments (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, keyboard and harp) are eligible.
